This year Easter was on April Fools Day. It was pretty fun. I put grape tomatoes in some of the eggs that we used for the Easter egg hunt. The kids didn't think that was funny. But my favorite was the present I got for Kylee for Easter. A big lacy bra! She totally didn't get the joke, just thought it was a nice bra. I did return it to the store after we had a good laugh.
I get to spend a lot of time with this kid. He is a pretty good companion!
We got to take the scouts to the new Aquarium. It was pretty cool! Small, but lots of cool stuff there. It finished off our Science requirement.
The Young Women had a fundraiser for Girls Camp. Part of it was a bake sale and cake auction. But also you could buy a "pie" to throw in the face of the bishopric. And Sister Hirschi got volunteered as well. It was pretty funny.Sadie has been asking me to cut her hair short. I just can't do it... But it looks pretty cute just trimmed!
I've been trying to convince Kylee to be nicer and more patient with Sadie. Sadie has a lot of love to give and she chooses to give most of it to Kylee. Kylee prefers a bit more space. It's a constant struggle with frustration and tears in my house. But it was on Kylee's mind when she got this assignment to write poems so she wrote a couple about her sister. Love!
Kylee got to do an escape room with her friends for Sydni's birthday. They are fun!
I decided to do the Bengal Triathlon again this year. I didn't have my mom to do it with me though so it wasn't as fun. I was able to swim faster by like 1 1/2 minutes. And my bike was slightly faster too. My run was slightly slower though. I beat last year's time by two minutes and tied this girl I had been yo-yo-ing on the bike and the run but she ended up ahead of me for half the run and I caught up to her and almost sprinted past her at the finish line but she wouldn't let me beat her, ha ha.The triathlon was in Pocatello, and it just so happened that Kylee had a soccer tournament in Pocatello that weekend so I just hung out and got some lunch and met the soccer girls at the field. They ended up tying the team they played and they both went to the championship so we had a couple hours to kill (Jamba and great Grandma's house) before heading back and playing the same team which we tied AGAIN. They had to go into overtime and ended up losing. It was rough. It was such a long day. At least the weather cooperated!
Soccer is in full swing in April. I sure love watching my kids play!
