Kauai- The End

It started raining when we finally got our shaved ice.  Thankfully we hadn't walked this time.  I was shivering while I ate it, but we eventually got in the Jeep and turned on the heat so that worked!
On our last day, we went for a run.  It had been raining but only sprinkled a little while we ran and was really great running weather.
My last handstand picture saying farewell to paradise for now.

We had to check out of our room, but still had all day before our flight.  We drove up to see the lighthouse since we never saw that last time.  It was a bit wind, hahaha.

Then we drove to the two waterfalls you can see from the road.  Opaeka'a Falls, which was right by a gorgeous view of the Wailua river where we kayaked last time.  It was just too windy for us to want to kayak this time and since we got to hike to the other waterfall we decided it was okay to not do it this time.

And Wailua Falls.  There are ways to hike down to these falls and stand behind them.  I really wanted to, but it was pretty muddy from the rain and we didn't want to get all muddy because there was no where to clean up.  Not to mention there are signs everywhere that say you can't go past this point.  They clearly do not want people hiking down there.  It is dangerous.  There are ropes someone has installed to help (or so I heard) but who knows.  It wasn't the right time to try it.  Sherri said she saw people hiking back up when she was there.  It would've been REALLY cool to be down there next to it and behind it, but it's okay.

And finally we decided to just hang out at the beach.  It was still windy, so we couldn't really lay out to get a tan, or swim.  But I sat and watched the surfers for quite awhile and walked around a bit.  This picture is the surfers, if you look close.
I know there are other vacation spots in the world.  And I'm certain I could fall in love with them as well.  But I sure do love Kauai.  I really can't wait to come back.
