Sadie had Parents, Poetry and Pie at school. She memorized her cute Shel Silverstein poem (plus almost every other kids' poems too, lol) and she did great. Grandma Cheryl was able to come too.
Kylee has a huge young women group. They have a lot of fun.
The Veteran's Day assembly always feels like an inconvenience, but it's always so good I love it so I make time to go. This is the first year that Dan was present. Every other year we have submitted a picture of him for the slideshow as our relative. My grandpa and me stepdad both served as well, but I've never gotten pictures of them. Anyway, it was fun to have him here for the kids to sing to.
Kaden did a Thanksgiving program. We laugh about this because I'm fairly certain it is not politically correct anymore, but it sure is cute.
Thanksgiving!
My mom made a trip out here for Thanksgiving because she wanted to be where all her kids are. We were all very excited. Then it snowed. It snowed a lot! It actually wasn't too bad up in my area, in Idaho. But down in Utah it was a LOT! We drove to Soda Springs and the weather was not bad. But Kevin and Vanessa came from Logan, and Jeff and Amanda came from Salem. They had it worse than we did, but they made it. Brian decided not to come. He spent the day shoveling feet of snow off his driveway so my mom had a place to park when she got there that evening. We would've liked to have Brian there, but understand why he didn't come.
Black Friday. Online is so easy these days that there's no real reason to go out on Thanksgiving. But I took Kylee out on Friday. We had fun. And we stopped for a little sugar boost and shared a cookie at Crumbl. Yum! Then the kids set up our new (skinnier) tree in the corner out of the way and I LOVE that so much more than being right in the way. The snow helped to get us in the Christmas spirit.
All in all, November isn't too crazy of a month. Indoor soccer starts, but it's not too bad.
