Oregon- Seaside Beach

We had to get our souvenirs taken care of.  Kylee and I got sweatshirts, but Dylan doesn't like sweatshirts so he got a t-shirt.  Sadie and Kaden were dying to have a seal from the aquarium.

I wanted to spend the day at Cannon Beach, but we were all a little tired and the kids wanted to just stay at our beach.  I decided that was probably a good idea because then if one of us got tired of the beach, they could go back to the room (*Dylan).  We had a good time at the beach.  It was definitely too cold for me to swim.  But we played in the sand for awhile, Dylan buried Sadie's legs while she was upright.  Then Dylan practiced sprinting by drawing lines in the sand.  He raced me, giving me a head start.  I tried hard but he still beat me.  Kylee and Ryan went walking and wandering along the beach for a long time.  Then Kylee and I kicked the soccer ball around for awhile.  Soccer isn't the best game to play in the sand.  Ouch.  Ryan threw the football a lot too.  All in all, we had fun.  But when we were packing up to head back, Ryan was heading back with the younger ones and Dylan and they were trying to find a place to rinse off their feet.  Dylan somehow lost them.  Not a big deal because our resort was literally right there.  The problem was that he didn't have his room key bracelet on him so he couldn't get in the door!  Ryan took the younger kids and wasn't worried about Dylan.  I'm not sure how Dylan missed Kylee and I walking back carrying all the stuff.  But I finally got up to the room and was there for a minute before I asked where Dylan was.  I was headed down to go find him but he met me in the hall.  Someone had come through the door and so he got in.  But he wasn't happy.  He gets impatient sometimes and this time it bit him in the butt.  I guess he had walked all the way back across the long beach looking for me when he couldn't find Ryan.  But all was well.

We tried gelato for our ice cream.  And we swam again this night, though I put all those pictures together in the first post.  The sunset was pretty!
