Sadie moved up to Young Women's in January. Crazy! And the best part is that she now gets to go to the temple. Her young women's group scheduled a temple trip right away and she was able to go with Ryan.
Kaden did this schoolwork after Christmas break. I was laughing pretty hard. I have been enjoying Hello Fresh meals as a change from the regular grind of shopping and cooking food that at least one person complains about. Kaden has decided he doesn't like Hello Fresh meals. Regardless of how different they all are from each other. His paper says "I tasted... too many Hello Fresh meals". Kylee has been burning a lot of candles too, so he said he smelled way too many candles. Cracks me up.
We took the kids sledding and invited family to join. Sadie had friends over so we just invited them to come too.
Sadie had D.A.R.E. graduation. This is usually in May, but I can't say I'm sad that it was in January instead. I'm a little bored of these now, but I'm proud of Sadie for doing the soda challenge (kinda) and going through all the other things they learn.
Sadie and her team played in a handful of tournaments, as well as playing in the Rexburg league which was more competitive than our regular league. It's been fun watching them play. Sadie was not really sold on doing basketball this year. It didn't help that she missed a few vital practices because of soccer and a trip to Florida so she missed some major things and felt like she was trying to catch up. She is short so that's a handicap for her but she works hard and her team does a great job.
For Jen's birthday, we went to an escape room with our husbands, which was fun. Then we went to a hotel and sat in the hottub and ate snacks and did these carbonated face masks. It was great.
