Kylee and Dylan both had their wisdom teeth taken out. I thought it would be a good idea to do them both on the same day, but it was a little more complicated than I had anticipated. The worst part was trying to keep track of their medication and make sure they were taking the antibiotic. Neither of them took the prescription pain pills but they took ibuprofen and Tylenol for the pain so we had to keep track of who had what when. Kylee was calm and reasonable after surgery. Dylan was not as much. He doesn't really remember it, but he was kind of a butt. Not only did he try to walk out of the Dr office by himself, but I told him to stay in the car at Broulim's because he was loopy and I just needed to get their prescriptions. As I was heading towards the exit, I see his tall head with gauze sticking out of his mouth wandering around the store. He doesn't remember. Then he tried to eat a gummy lifesaver and I got mad at him and made him spit it out. He was quite bloody and tried to tell me it was just red from the candy. It was not. He bled quite a bit. After he had laid around a bit and had to change his gauze many times. He became a little more aware of things and started stressing that he was bleeding too much. He was pacing around all anxious and telling me he was getting light-headed from blood loss. He had googled how much blood you can lose before you pass out, and things like that. But in the end it slowed down and he was fine.
On a side note, I was not too happy with the Dr office. They were good to give us a discounted price since they weren't in our insurance plan. But the day of the surgery I felt like I was left out of the loop. I assumed they would bring me back when they were ready for me. All the videos people post show them with their child while they wake up from the sedation. But they left me in the waiting room. I was waiting patiently. It wasn't until another mom and her kid came in and they invited her back with him that I started getting annoyed. I went up to the desk and asked if I could go back to them and the lady seemed surprised. She led me back through their breakroom, which was weird. And Kylee was already coherent and talking to the nurse. I was in her room and they told me Dylan was about done. I was not planning on videoing either of them because they had asked me not to, but I was still annoyed that I hadn't been there even just to offer comfort as they woke up. Then they started helping Dylan walk out the back door (he kind of took off on his own) as if that's where my car was and I was like, "my car is in the front." She goes, "nobody told you to move it back here?" I'm like "NOBODY TOLD ME ANYTHING!" I don't know why but I just feel like someone dropped the ball with me.
Anyway, I got this picture of Kylee but that is all. They were both swollen like chipmunks and neither of them wanted pictures taken. It was not fun. And Sadie needs to do it sooner than later too.
A few days had passed and Kaden really wanted to go to ijump and Kylee decided she felt well enough to try it. We had fun.
After the race I had told Kaden I would take him to Ammon Days. This day seems to be getting less and less fun each year. I doubt we will go back. But I let Kaden and Jason wander around the booths by themselves while I waited in line for the taco truck. And we got ice cream before we decided to get back on the shuttle and head home. Both trucks took a REALLY long time. And even though it was 78 degrees, it felt like we were melting like it was 95.
Later that night, Jen invited me to this show she had bought tickets for months prior. I hadn't planned on going because I was thinking we would be out of town but that didn't happen so I told Jen I would see how I felt after a nap because it had been a long day, lol. We went to dinner at Smokin' Fins and the show and it was really funny and we had a good time.
Dylan has mastered the perfect grilled cheese. I approve of the method of adding extra cheese to melt in the pan.
Can't complain about where I live. Sunsets get pretty awesome!
