We got a good amount of snow on May 3, which is stupid but it's just what happens sometimes. The weather is often just fine.
Soccer and football practice at the park means they get to play around a bit.
The Northern Lights were visible! They were better the night before this but I was so tired I was in bed. Coaching one kid and watching two others in a tournament is exhausting. It's crazy that they were right outside our door though!
Kylee's cute team is fun to watch! They played great.
They won the third game and they were really happy. I was tired and still had a long day of watching the girls play but at the end of this game, one of the moms came at me accusing me of not liking her son because I played the guest player more than I played him. It was super annoying. I don't have any problems with her son and he is one of the players that I put in often because he does a decent job. There's a few kids that I have to find ways to get them in (without completely ruining our chances). Basically what I took from it was that I do a crappy job of managing the bench. But really, I'm out there alone doing what I can. I was pretty annoyed, but even more so that she was basically calling me a liar saying I obviously have something against her or her son, even other people can see that he didn't get hardly any playing time that game. I asked her if it was a problem she had been noticing all season or just for this game. Because I really felt like I played him a lot during the season. For that game, I think having three games in less than 24 hours messed me up because I couldn't keep track of who had been sitting or what not. I felt like she was way out of line, but my time coaching is almost over so who cares. When she finally let me walk away she had calmed down and we seemed to be on friendly terms but I still think she should've let herself cool down before attacking me. And she should've apologized and she never did, even days or weeks later.
Kylee's team played in the Director's Cup in Boise. They have usually played in the State Cup but somehow we missed that registration. Director's Cup is cool too. We ate at Cafe Zupas like three times in two days. It was kind of out of control but it's so good. I tried the Chris soup and it's yum! (Wisconsin cheddar mixed with tomato).
Hillcrest State tennis was in Boise the same weekend so we got to watch a little of that! Brynlee Nelsen came in second (as a freshmen) against this girl who is super tall and lives out of state training constantly. Brynlee is such an athlete!
Champs at Director's Cup too!
Coach Jeremy has done an amazing job with these girls. It's been so fun to watch them compete hard.
I played outdoor soccer! I started playing indoor in the winter and met a big group of girls. They ended up inviting me to their team for outdoor and it was so fun! We are actually quite good outdoor! We ended top of the league. We tied one game and lost one game (only because we had no subs and then had two or more injuries so we were playing down).
Last day of school! Hallelujah!
Finals for flag football. They played two games back to back for the championship and they won! He's been so close to winning but never quite got that ring until now. (Technically they won the B league, but we don't have to tell them that.)
