After we got to Paris and got settled in our hotel and had dinner, Ryan and I walked to the Eiffel Tower. Kylee felt like having some alone time so she stayed behind. The sun was setting and I couldn't wait to see it lit up and then sparkle! I was a little disappointed with all the closed off areas where the best photo ops are, but we made do.
There were definitely a ton of people all over. Plus guys walking around trying to sell us souvenirs or alcohol. Literally walking around with bottles of wine or whatever. So many of them. We had to just say "no thank you" but every few minutes.
The Olympic rings are cool! But also I kind of want to see it without them too.
We thought we would see the first sparkle at 10 but it wasn't dark enough I guess. We had to wait until 11pm (because the days are so long right now, the summer solstice just passed) but it was worth it because it was MAGICAL! Taylor has lyrics that say "let the only sparkling lights be the tower at midnight".
