AZ- Hiking

Whenever we travel anywhere, my favorite thing to do is go hiking and see the natural beauties in each place that we don't have at home.  Arizona is sure different than home!  It's cool to see the cacti and desert.  This particular hike, though... was fun for the first 20 minutes.  Then we got bored after seeing the same cacti and dirt and rocks.  And it seemed to go on forever!  I think it was three miles total.  But Ryan and I had to carry Kaden for like 2.5 miles, lol.  It also didn't go uphill, it was just a flat loop, so there were no viewpoints up high.  Let's just say we enjoyed our hike a few years before a lot more.
There was a little play area at the beginning by the trail heads.

Some of the views.  Pictures don't do it justice though.

 Cute heart shaped cactus!
 Tallest cactus we found.
The two middle children were getting along!  That's notable.  They were having fun finding special glittery rocks.

We got to a point we thought was the end, but turned out to be a little workout area.  So we took a break for a minute, haha.
The problem with vacations and doing fun things is that the kids aren't sleeping as much as usual so they are always tired and cranky.  This is a typical scene, everyone else zonked out in the car except Kylee, who hasn't slept in a car since she was one-year-old.
The hike wore them out pretty good, but we still had plenty of hours in the day and we were already halfway to the butterfly sanctuary, so after a quick power nap, that's where we went.
