The Brevard Zoo is a good one. You get to feed the giraffes in this big open
area and it’s awesome. And you get to
feed the birds and they come land on you and it’s fun. Plus it’s big and pretty and has a ton of
stuff. We get like 50% off because we
use our zoo pass for our Tautphaus park zoo and that pretty much makes our zoo
pass worth it right there.
The meerkats were one of our favorites! They are so darn cute!
Kangaroos were cool! Though half of them were just lying around trying to nap. And the anteater was something different. And that ostrich was freaky.
The birds were awesome like always. Kylee's face when this one landed on her head was the best!
(You get two angles on some of these because I had my Nikon and Ryan was videoing with his phone and snapping pictures during that.)
The otter was very playful today! He would entertain the kids at this window for a few minutes, then go up on land to the people up above and run around for them, then come back.
So much walking for little three-year-old legs!! Ryan convinced him to walk at the end, slowly but surely (calling him "my little wounded soldier") by offering some sort of treat. I was surprised Kaden toughed it out and did it instead of just melting down.
Stopped by the petting zoo before heading out. (A face only a mother can love, lol)
Dylan is a kid that burns out quickly and once he is done, he lets you know it and will generally try to make life miserable until he gets to either go home, or have some sort of treat to make his life better. Of course, shortly after the treat is gone he will go back to begging to go home. But occasionally, he will still be an awesome kid even at the end of a long day. Maybe it's those glasses. It just makes him look so nice, doesn't it? Nobody in those glasses could be a trouble maker.
