FL 2020- Hamilton

We were so excited to see Hamilton!!  We had to drive a couple hours down to south Florida, West Palm Beach.  We listened to the soundtrack on the way.  We got there plenty early so we found some food.  The Cheesecake Factory was yummy!  We were a little worried they were going to make us late because they took a bit of time to get us our food, but we made it just fine.

It was so fun to see the show!  Kylee and I both loved the choreography and she said she would like to be one of the dancers (even though she doesn't really dance). We were hearing the people around us talking, saying they couldn't understand half of what they were saying.  I was about to say, "I can clear it up for you!  What part exactly."  But I didn't.  I minded my own business.  I also had to bite my tongue and just sing quietly to Kylee the whole time instead of out loud.  It was really, really fun.  It was also a late night.  We got home really late!  But well worth it.

What we didn't realize was that COVID-19 was about to tear through the US and cancel every show and every vacation for months.  We feel very blessed that we got to see this and go to Florida at all!  I also didn't know that they were releasing the movie on Disney+ a few months later either.  But I'm still glad I got to see it in person.

Speaking of COVID, it's strange to think back to traveling in the airport when COVID was still just barely making it's way to the US.  There were some people wearing masks, and we weren't sure if they were just immuno-compromised and would've been wearing them anyway, or if they were paranoid about COVID.  When Kylee and Kaden came down with a fever a week after we got home, I started freaking out just a little.  But my mom assured me there had been no cases on the East Coast at all.  It all started in California and Washington.  And then it kept on spreading...
