July 2020

I took the older three kids to track and Kaden wanted to ride his bike so we went to the greenbelt and I ran while he rode.  He wanted to stop and take a picture at every cool bench.

We got a ping pong table as kind of a birthday present for all the kids.  It has been fun.

The kids had their championship track meet in Rexburg.  It was fun.  Kylee dominated in all her events, 100 hurdles, 400 and 800.  This is the last year she can participate so it was a nice end for her.  Dylan did well, but there was another kid in his age group that did really well too.  It was a nail biter waiting for the results to come in.  Dylan and Zyan ran in different heats in the 100 but they both dominated their heats, so it was impossible to know which of them were faster overall.  It's unfortunate they weren't in the same heat because then they would've pushed each other.  Zyan was a little bigger and taller than Dylan, so we weren't too surprised that he beat Dylan in long jump even though Dylan did awesome!  Luckily Zyan did the 400 instead of the 200 so Dylan didn't have much competition in that one and he took first.  Sadie did well, though she was trying to do long jump when they were starting the 100 in her age group.  It was confusing and the adults didn't really listen so she ended up missing the start of the 100 and she was really stressed and upset.  I told her she wouldn't have gotten a medal but she wasn't convinced.  She competed in the 200 and long jump.  She liked track and she wants to do it again.

Kylee's team and Dylan's team.  We didn't get a team picture of Sadie's team.

I can't remember why Dylan and Kaden earned sno-cones but look how happy they are.

Kylee's soccer team had a little swim party at her friend Julia's house.  They have so much fun together!

We made it to Ross Park with the cousins one day, even though the summer schedule was rough.

Dylan got examined for braces but didn't have to get them until August.

Ryan chaperoned the Deacons on a hike to the wind caves.

Then we went to Oregon.  See next posts.
