I actually had to go to Africa a few days before the first day of school. I had a really hard time missing the first week of school, but it was literally the only week that worked for all my friends. I guess Utah kids started school a week or more before ours. I didn't trust anyone else to take pictures of my kids for the first day. It was enough to ask Ryan to get them to school, I wasn't going to make him take pictures. But I needed pictures so I took them before I left and pretended it was the first day. I'm not even sure if my kids wore these clothes the first day, but whatever! I couldn't miss a year. Kids all got new Adidas backpacks this year and a some new lunchboxes too. New shoes are always my favorite. Kaden ordered custom vans but they hadn't come yet.
Two high schoolers and two in elementary. I'm not going to lie, I'm not sad I don't have anyone at Sandcreek this year. They are not my favorite. Junior high is fun for nobody. But Sadie will be there next year!
