Fall Soccer

Sadie played with her club team this Fall (since they no longer put together teams based on Jr Highs) and she had a great season. I think they only lost one game.  They tied CGA the first time we played and the second time CGA beat them.  I won't complain about how big the CGA girls are and how they are probably half 09 girls but whatever.  Sadie mostly played defensive wing, but sometimes she played in the center, defensive mid or something.  I never know what they call the positions anymore.

They played two games in Pocatello at the end of their season and so they had a little lunch break at one of the girl's grandparents house.

Dylan made the JV team.  They have a lot of team activities starting with this big picnic at a property in Ashton.  It was a lot of fun.

Dylan's team did pretty good.  They did lose a couple times.  Dylan played mostly wing.  He struggled a little after breaking his arm and missing practice/games because of that.  Right after that he got sick (it went through all my kids right before I went to Africa) and he missed a couple practices because of that.  Then later, while still wearing a cast on his right arm, he took a fall at a game in Blackfoot and hurt his left wrist too.  But he didn't miss any practices from that.  But when you miss practices, you don't get much playing time in the next game.  It was just a little rough.  I didn't actually get any pictures of Dylan playing, I am not good at taking soccer pictures because I watch so much dang soccer I just don't think to pull out my phone.  The pictures I got of the girls were taken by other people.  But here are his team pictures!

They also had a float in the Homecoming Parade but the pictures people took didn't have Dylan.  Here's his teammates anyway.  I also helped with team dinner that was held across the street at the Wilson's house.  But it was pretty dark so no pictures.

Both the girls and boys had a BBQ fundraiser at the beginning of the season.  Kaden had fun!

Kylee was made captain of the Varsity team this year!  Along with a couple other girls.  Kylee loves her school team and they have fun, but bless them, they don't win.  They lost, by a lot.  Kylee finally scored their first goal of the season against Thunder so that was fun.  Thunder ended up scoring like 13 against them and giving our keeper a concussion, but that's a discussion for another time.  They did finally beat Blackfoot and that was awesome.  They also tied Shelley at home and that was a really fun game because Kylee scored the goal that tied it off of a free kick just shy of half field.  Here's the pictures from that.

They may not have gone to State, or have much to celebrate, but these moments are ones they will remember and look back at the season as a good one.

I'm so grateful other people taking pictures!  Here are her team pictures.

And a picture of the Xtreme girls together.  Every time they played a team that had their teammates on it, they took pictures together.  I loved it!  (They didn't do this with Rigby and Madison because those teammates are very new and they don't know them very well yet).

Pictures from the Homecoming float and team dinner at my house.

Kylee called me up one day all flabbergasted because she had just saw another blown up picture of herself on the wall.  Almost identical to the one from last year.  I told her she is just really photogenic.  And also she kind of stands out on the team, being so tall and also just getting a lot of action on the field. Here is this year's and then last year's for comparison.

They also put a picture of her and a few other girls from the dance team, AND a picture of her from her Chemistry class.  Kind of funny.

Kylee took a lot of pictures this year, which turned out useful when I volunteered to put together the slideshow for the end of year banquet.

Finally the banquet at the end of the season.  Her coach said she took 51 shots on goal, only 21 were on frame.  Total points scored by her was 7.  For the record, Ella scored 10.  Just got to keep Kylee humble.
