Kaden was baptized the day after his 8th birthday along with his cousin Jason (who is 5 weeks older than him). Having Grandpa Ken perform the baptism was such a neat experience. Kaden and Jason are the youngest grandkids, and to see them making covenants with the Lord, shortly after Ken (the oldest in the family) had just received his endowments in the temple and been sealed to his wife and children, it left us feeling very spiritually full and happy. We are so blessed.
Our neighbor was sitting behind us and she snapped a few pictures, which were sweet.
Something I wanted to note for our memories, we asked Sadie to learn the closing song on the piano so she could play it for us. Being a private baptism we didn't have a pianist. The kids all sang a song for the musical number but I was so happy that Sadie was willing to learn a song and play it for us. It was scary and hard and she did it. She made some mistakes on the piano, which nobody cared about but her, and it made her feel really embarrassed and upset. I hate that she felt that way because I was so happy she was willing to play and be a part of Kaden's day. You can tell she's looking a little sad in the group picture.
