Oregon Coast

When you are traveling off the beaten path, the food options are not always familiar.  But Kaden had some luck finding a burger everywhere we went.  We started keeping track of how many he had on our trip.  I think he got to 8.

We made it to the coast! It was significantly cooler (it was in the 90's in Central Oregon) and though there were some blue skies, there was a lot of smoke too.  Or so we thought.  We stayed at a hotel in Coos Bay and explored there the that evening.

We were told this is "Marine Fog" and it is a common occurrence and not related to the fires.  Either way, it was gloomy.
Cape Arago State Park had a spot for seals!  They are so cool

Can you tell we were not ready for it to be so cold? Sadie has my jacket on and Kaden is wrapped in his blanket.

We got fish and chips!

Our journey down the coast started in Bandon.  Ryan has played golf here before at a popular course.  We had fun exploring the beach.

We could've stayed there half the day but we had a couple hours of driving and a lot of stops to make!  We started on the Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor.  First stop Arch Rock

Another stop, Deer Point had a cool coastline too.

Natural Bridges is the viral one.  People will venture down and walk out on that.  If it wasn't so dangerous I would've tried.  There's a trail but the kids, especially Sadie, were not wanting to hike much so we ventured down a little but not all the way.  I know there's not a real trail that leads out on top of it, people that do that are being unsafe.  It looked like people had left the viewpoint and scrambled down to get a better view too.  People are crazy.

Whaleshead Beach was a nice beach!  We could've hung out there too.  But we had a hotel in California to get to.
