August was a big month! I've already posted a lot of things that happened this month, but there's still more. I made Ryan an ice cream cake for his birthday :)
We are lucky to have him! He helped the Elder's Quorum put together a Daddy-Daughter activity on the day I ran my marathon. From the pictures it looks like they all had a lot of fun, especially Ryan, lol.
Ryan took Kaden to the school park and they found some horses to feed.
Dylan got a laser gun set for his birthday. Kaden loves it. Sadie took these cute pictures of him.
We had some time so we went bowling as a family. I could definitely use some practice. Kids loved it!
Scouts is going well. I have a great group of boys and we got to do some fun stuff during the summer. We went for a three mile hike up above Blackhawk. They found obsidian and plenty of empty shotgun shells.
I took Kaden and Sadie to the zoo. The older kids don't like the zoo much anymore :( But there was a new monkey and it was the CUTEST! It was learning to swing and it would still cling to it's momma's belly a lot too. I could've stayed there watching for an hour but Kaden wanted to move on.
These goofballs!
Kylee decided to join the cross-country team. I warned her it would be a lot of running, especially on top of soccer already. But she wanted to do it. Averi ended up joining too. She enjoyed it and she turned out to be a really great runner! She did complain about her legs hurting quite a bit some weeks, but she still went and did it. She even had to go to early morning practices on Wednesdays.
She wore my old watch to time her races. This was her first one. I was very impressed with her pace! But she got even faster at subsequent races.
