Oregon Devils Punchbowl

Funny story.  This "Devils Punchbowl" monument was a short walk away from our resort.  We went to the top of it the first day, but didn't really see a way to get down into it right then.  You have to go at low tide or the water will be too high to walk around.  So we decided to go, walked all the way through our forest trail and to the top, looked around for a way down, finally asked a shop owner who told us to go down this street (essentially the way back towards our resort) and we found a trail down.  We explored around and took some pictures.  I saw another set of stairs further down the beach but I assumed they were private because our beach was definitely further beyond those rocks.  So we walked back up the trail and back through the forest.  Sadie needed to use the bathroom really badly so I walked with her and asked Ryan to get Kaden home (he will walk really slowly or ask to be carried).  Well, later on I realized the stairs we had seen were our stairs, and that we could access the punchbowl by going down the stairs at our resort and walking along the beach.  Gosh, how annoying.  For the record, Ryan was pretty sure they were our stairs when he saw them.  We just didn't know the punchbowl access was what we could see off to the left from our beach.  We had gone right to explore.

I did a lot of carrying this kid.  Good thing he's cute and I'm strong.

The Devil's Punchbowl was cool, but crowded.  There was so much life on the walls!  Can you see all the sea stars and anemone?
