April

Kylee’s birthday gets it’s own post :)  But here is the rest of April!

Ryan and I had a date night, but we didn’t get a babysitter so we just took Kaden with us.  He’s not the easiest at restaurants these days.  But he sure is cute!

Soccer season started!  I do love it even though it makes us very busy.  Kaden is a little busy at the games as well.  But it’s outside so he’s generally happy.  He just wanders around a little too much.
At the end up last season, Sadie was worn out and not really excited about soccer anymore.  But by the time this new season started she was SO excited to play.  Funny how that works.  She’s done well this time!  She’s come a long way in the last six months.  She has more control and agility.  She didn’t score the first game, but the second game she played, she scored within the first two minutes.  She proceeded to score 6-7 more times.  She would smile at me and jump up and down when she made it.  The team they were playing was not much of a challenge, but she still had some really good plays.  I got some video of it, which is fun.  Grandma was there to see it with us.

The next game she scored at least three times as well. Ryan was there that time and got to see her determination and intensity on her face.  She’s a funny little thing!  Kylee and Dylan are both doing great as well, but I’ll have to get some pictures of them for May’s post.

Ryan decided he couldn't stand Kaden's thin whispy hair any longer.  She here are a couple quick (lazy) before shots.

And after Dad totally chopped it all.  Poor bald kid...  But it is thicker now so it will grow in nice.

My birthday!  The weekend prior to my bday I drove down to Ogden to meet with my friends for dinner.  We had a wonderful time catching up.  All of us but Amy have birthdays within a month of each other.  Jaclyn too, but she's in Tokyo so she can't just drive up for the night.  Amy's the young one, bday in August.

My actual birthday was on a Tuesday.  My busiest day, between driving Sadie to dance during the day and then Ryan having mutual that night and Dylan's soccer game, etc.  It's busy.  So I asked Ryan if I could just have a chunk of time in the morning to get out on my bike and not have to hurry home.  I just wanted to enjoy myself.  And boy did I!!  It was so beautiful!!  Sure, it was quite chilly when I started out which required gloves, ear warmer, and double layers, I got quite comfortable after the first 30 minutes.  I really love riding on the quiet country roads out here.  Especially when the sun is shining.

My phone and facebook were blown up with birthday wishes!  A bit overwhelming, actually.  But I have great friends.

After the bike ride and a warm shower, I took the kids to Sunnyside Gardens, and I had to snap another picture because this is another one of my happy places.  It was a good birthday, even if it was quiet!

Sadie gets bored at home with me doing nothing but our workouts and running errands.  So I planned a day to take her and Kaden to the zoo.  She was so happy!  Kaden loves animals, and outside, so he had fun.  He didn't get as excited as I thought he would, but he definitely had fun looking at everything and taking it all in.  (I think the most excited he got was when a normal bird took flight close to us and he pointed and yelled "bir!!")

I'm loving his little Aggie jacket.
