Kylee Turns 10!

Kylee's birthday was on a Sunday.  We had volleyball and soccer on Saturday which made it impossible to have her birthday party that day.  Well, at least not where she wanted it.  Which was Wood Creations.  So we had it on Friday.  Wood Creations is a wood craft store.  They sell the cut wood for projects and they have a selection of papers and embellishments to choose from.  For birthday parties, they let the kids do the projects there at the store with their paints and ribbons and glitter (so much glitter).  I think we got our moneys worth in glitter alone.  The girls had a lot of fun!

Lexi, Audrey, Jerzey, Brooklyn, Kylie, Katelynn, Sydni, Kylee, and Haylie

She got lots of fun presents from her friends!  It was an easy party.  The store provided pizza and cupcakes too.  So I did nothing but supervise and drive them there (with the help of a friend to fit all the girls in the car).

We went out for her birthday on Saturday at lunchtime before volleyball.  She chose Red Robin.  Well, we both chose it because she got a free kids meal and I got a free burger since my birthday was close too.

Kylee got to open presents on Sunday finally.  All she wanted for her birthday was a new iphone (which doesn't have service, just wifi) and a snowboard.  Both of those ended up being fairly easy to get for her.  The snowboard was found used on KSL.  Too bad we can't use it for months.  She also got some new leotards and a cute owl iphone cover, etc.   (All her growing pains are finally proving to be for a reason.  She's finally grown out of all her size 7-8 clothes, which unfortunately meant she needed a whole new wardrobe.  And her feet have grown so much she basically skipped size 3.  She's pretty proud of her new big feet, lol.)  She also got some clothes that didn't come until later because I messed up and didn't actually place the order I thought I had.  My mom's present was with that order so it was late too.  But she got her an activity tracker, but not a Fitbit.  She's wanted a Fitbit, but I couldn't spend $100 for that for her.  But this activity tracker from Justice had a cute band, and it was much cheaper.  She was happy and she still loves it.

And like two weeks later we finally made a cake for her!  We had family over to celebrate.  Ryan's parents just got back in town from their winter in Arizona.  So it was fun to get everyone together.  I was going to make her a gluten free cake but we had finally given up on the gluten free diet for her so I just made the regular kind since I had no intention of having any.  But everyone liked it so I guess it was yummy!

Kylee is growing into a little pre-teen.  She's a lot of fun, and very helpful with so many things.  She's so very talented with everything she tries.  I am so proud of her.
