Kylee finished up dance with a showcase.  She needed an escort and Ryan was out of town so I escorted her.  Then we got to watch them perform their dances along with a lot of other guest performances from local private dance companies.  It was really fun.  She's loved dance.

Kylee's coach set up some scrimmages in Logan.  The problem is that Logan's weather is not any better than ours, so it was snowing and windy and miserable.  But only the first game was outside, the second game was in the indoor facility, which is huge and I'm jealous.  The girls played well, but it was two teams mixed together so Kylee didn't love it.  Jeremy has an older team that he coaches as well so he had players from both teams and the dynamic is different.

Speaking of miserable weather, lol.  This is so accurate.

If it's going to be cold, we might as well enjoy it!  We were able to go boarding for the last time right before Spring Break.  The snow was good and we had a lot of fun!  The snow this year has not been great.  We got a ton in December and then hardly anything.  I got my sweet potato fries with the yummy sauce though!  It was closed because of Covid last time, lame.

We got a Yumbox from Russia, which is ironic because Russia is invading Ukraine right now.  And the box was not yummy.  We were like, freaking Russia ruins everything!  Pickle flavored puffs? Mushroom flavored croutons... Crab flavored chips.  Why, Russia?

Mexico- Swimming with Dolphins

 I have wanted to swim with dolphins forever.  When we were in Hawaii once Ryan was going to let me do it, but it was kind of last minute and we didn't have time on Oahu, and when we got to Kauai we found out they don't have captive dolphins on that island.  We have also talked about doing it in Florida, but our kids would want to do it, but they weren't all old enough, etc, etc.  Plus my mom doesn't love that they keep dolphins captive instead of out in the ocean where they belong.  So we have seen them in the wild in Florida but I had never swam with them.  The concierge guys at the resort gave us a good deal and said that Kaden would be able to do it even though he wasn't 8 yet, so we went for it.  I was SO excited.  It started rough with us waiting for 45 minutes for our shuttle (we learned that Mexicans just don't worry that much about details like appointment times) and then dealing with the lady making us pay for our transportation even though the resort said they would waive it.  Then we had to leave all our phones behind and I was bummed because the photo packages were a lot more expensive at this place.  I thought maybe we could buy one picture or something just for the memories.  As you can see, that didn't happen.  The pictures were sooooo good.  And it was such a fun experience.  The guy bargained with us a little and brought the price down so we bought it and I was so happy!!  

I was definitely more excited than anyone else.  I was smiling from ear to ear and jumping around in the water while we waited.  Looking at the pictures later Kylee said, "why does it look like Mom is having so much more fun than the rest of us?"  Hahahaha.  It was a dream come true and it was the highlight of the whole trip for me, maybe the whole year.  The dolphins did not disappoint.  They are amazing creatures and so cute!  And the trainer that was helping us was really funny.  He called Kaden "Lee-tle Boy".  And Dylan was "Dee-lon".  Our favorite trick was when he had the dolphins swim like sharks and started singing the Jaws theme song.  (Mammals swim up and down, fish swim side to side). We also fed the manatees, while are like sea cows.  Not near as cute as dolphins but it was fun anyway.

We had expected a family pic with a dolphin but somehow missed that opportunity, so here is our family pic with masks on chins and everything (they still want you to wear masks indoors and around food down there).
