January

I started January with the goal to take a picture every day.  I almost made it the whole month.  But January is a hard month for a challenge like that!  It gets dark really early so I was stuck using artificial light in my house.  And most of the things I was trying to photograph were boring.  But some of the pictures are here in the sum-up of this month.

Jax hanging out in his spot with his heat light.
Kylee doing her needle point owl she got for Christmas.
Dylan playing his phone (his favorite past time) in his shark tail he got for Christmas.

If he's not playing his phone, he's using google to find craft ideas.  Perler beads are one of his favorites.

Kaden likes to use the fork himself.  But he is so messy!! Darn cute, though!

Luckily this boy loves reading as well!  Thank heavens!  He reads a lot and sometimes stays up too late at night because his book is really good.  I'm trying to get him to move past smaller books like Goosebumps and up to Harry Potter, but his attention span makes him resist.
Crazy hair day at school.  Fun times!  They had one a few months ago that I didn't participate in, so when they had another one I figured I had better take my second chance.  Dylan wasn't thrilled about it but the funny thing was that he wanted the mohawk again the next day just for fun.

Sadie modeling for me just for fun.

Hanging out playing while the other kids slid down the stairs in their sleeping bags!  He's such a good kid.  So easy going and fun!  He's busy and makes messes, but at least he doesn't sit and scream and beg to be held all the time.
Sometimes they can play for quite awhile before they either get hurt or just fight.
More crafts.  This is our winter.
 Well, crafts and electronics.
Yes, he does cause trouble, though.  I can't believe he hasn't broken any of these jars yet.  Little stinker.

Kylee worked really hard on her loom bands.  She made this cute little polar bear, who she is very proud of.
Matching :)  They had a couple outfits that matched, just coincidentally.  Dylan loves on Kaden, but Kaden isn't always happy about it.  It seems he doesn't really trust Dylan.  But he enjoys playing with him.  Just not being picked up or whatever.

 January has some amazing sunrises!
There's not much beauty out there in January, but it's there if you look for it.
 Waiting for Sadie at gymnastics.
Trouble-maker got into Kylee's nail polish and managed to smash a black sparkly one on the tile floor.  It was all over his hands and feet, some on his pants, and all over the floor.  He tracked some of it to the carpet, but just a small spot that came up.  What a mess.

Trying to get workouts done with this little guy is not always easy.  Sadie did really well playing with him most of the time and keeping him occupied.  But not always.

We had SO MUCH SNOW!!!!  It was kind of awesome.  And kind of frustrating.

I started having the kids help me make a meal of their choice each Sunday (now that we have 9:00 church, we have time!) I did it with each kid, but sort of gave up when they were not so much helping me as just requesting really sugary things and leaving me to make them...  Sadie helped with her choice of pizza, though!  The other kids had requested breakfast foods.

I can eat eggs again!!!  I'm so happy about it!  This is my new favorite thing.  Fried egg, avocado, green tobasco.  Sometimes I put it on gluten-free toast.  Yum!
Cute cousins coincidentally got the same jammies for Christmas.

Sadie drew this adorable picture and I loved it!  She sure loves rainbow colors.
I learned how to make yogurt!  I was trying a dairy-free diet for my kids for a bit so this was coconut yogurt (from coconut milk that I had made myself!  Lots of work, though).  It ended up being SUPER tart.  I think I let it ferment too long.  Anyway, it's easy and now I know how to do it so I can if I need to.  But I don't have that much time on my hands.
Sometimes Bubbas is just so cute that I have to take some selfies and send them to Ryan while he's out of town on golf trips.

Dylan and Sadie saved up their money and bought these dominos.  They have a lot of fun.  It's not very easy to do it with a baby dying to knock it down all the time, though.
We had a bit of illness, unfortunately.
Poor Kaden got really, really sick.  I spent hours just walking with him while he whimpered or cried.  I rocked him to sleep and sat there while he slept for hours.  So sad.

We had two good illnesses.  This one in January, and the other one was as we were leaving Arizona and after we got home.
