Kaden was excited about the adventure. When we finally got to Grandma and Grandpa's house it was getting late and they needed to get ready for bed. That's when we realized we had forgotten his favorite blanket. Luckily Grandma had a suitable replacement so that was no big deal. But Kaden started saying, okay can we go home now? I'm pretty sure he wanted to play with his new toys still. We had brought a few toys, including his large Lightning McQueen car, but not his Paw Patrol stuff. He didn't make a big fuss, but it was funny that he wanted to turn around and head home.
We woke up Christmas morning in Arizona and had a few presents to exchange. Grandma worked on a nice breakfast with a few little helpers in the kitchen, and I went for a run!! Seriously, the best Christmas present ever. It was slightly brisk which was perfect for running. Sunny and like 50 degrees. Perfect running weather. I was in heaven. I was also surprised at the amount of people out and about on Christmas Day. There was even a parking lot that was quite full, though I'm not sure what business was opened.
But the golf course was open! So Ryan got to go golfing on Christmas which doesn't happen very often. Best Christmas ever.
The only other thing they wanted to do was go swimming! It's not like there were a lot of options to do on Christmas, but this was a good one! It was a bit chilly for my taste, but the water was heated and the kids had a blast.
These pictures are from all the swimming days during our trip, not just on Christmas.
