In the whirlwind of starting as PTO president at my kids' elementary school, which started off with a few different events I was involved in, AND taking my two elementary kids to Florida for an awesome vacation (I'll get to that when I catch up with everything else! I'm only like 7 months behind... Again, I should have more free time to blog soon!) I hadn't made any plans for family pictures. It's not like we have to do them every year. But I do insist on taking pictures of my kids every year. And we need something for the Christmas card each year. And the picture hanging in our living room is four or five years old now. We wanted to replace it last year but they didn't turn out quite what I had hoped. Anyway, the point is I decided last minute that we should do some pictures. And then I remembered that Kylee was getting her braces off on Oct 27th. So I decided we could wait until then. I wasn't sure if there would be any leaves left or if the weather would be bareable. But honestly, it turned out pretty great. I even through our outfits together last minute. Kylee and Sadie had clothes that would work, I had a boring but matching sweater, so I just had to shop for the boys the day before Halloween. Anyway, I'm going to print it out and I hope it looks good blown up to 26x30. I always get nervous. Can I just say it's nice to have kids that are old enough to do what we ask? I mean, they're still a pain in the butt a lot, but when you have really young kids, you have a very small window when they will cooperate. These guys whined (mostly the boys) but they still did it. And Sara was nice enough to come out and take the pictures so I didn't have to try with a remote (though that did work out surprisingly well on our current pic in the living room, I think we just got lucky). I won't post these on social media anytime soon because they are for our Christmas cards, but I wanted family to be able to see them. Enjoy!
