One more soccer tournament. One more stop at Trader Joes. The girls played well and I really enjoyed the good weather! This Spring was soooo cold and windy. The views weren't so bad either!
Bonus I had time to go hike Adam's Canyon waterfall! I had to drive 15-20 minutes to get there but it was worth it. I was excited to go back to this because I hiked it with Ryan when we lived in Layton and it was really cool but I remember it being really hard. Back then I didn't do such hard workouts though so I figured this would be much easier. It was still really hard!! Lol. I blame the heat. I had to go to Kylee's game early so then I went hiking and it was close to 11am. It was like 80 degrees. It's a short hike though and I really enjoyed it. There were lots of little kids doing it, obviously much slower than I was, but still. It's obviously not that bad. It just felt hard to breathe. I thought maybe it's high altitude and that was the problem. Nope! Just hot.The team met for pizza at this pretty garden. It really was a beautiful weekend, though hot.
Kylee hurt her ankle in one of the first games so we had to have it taped a couple times. They played in the championship game and it was SOOO hot. They had already played that morning and they were tired. They only had a couple subs because we've had so many injuries on our team and one girls was planning to come but got sick last minute. The team they played against had like 7 subs. It didn't seem quite fair. They also had mismatched jerseys so we know they aren't a true team. Must be one of those clubs that throws teams together from all over. Anyway, we went into overtime and the girls looked like zombies out there. They played so hard but lost in the end..
Once the game finally ended, we got our pictures and medals, and grabbed some food, it was quite late. We were driving in the dark just past Brigham City when I came upon a dead deer in my lane. I was on cruise around 88-90 mph and I didn't think I could swerve without risking a car in my blind spot or hitting the deer with my tires and crashing. I decided maybe it was flat enough that I could straddle it. It was not quite flat enough. I had deer blood and hair all over the underside of my car, but it was still running so I drove home. The car even started the next morning and got us to church, but I quickly realized there was a puddle under it. We took it to the shop that Sunday, and I had to leave for girls camp the next day. But Ryan told me they wouldn't have my car back until SEPTEMBER. THREE MONTHS. They wanted to have it sanitized with hazmat to get rid of the deer parts that were spread all over the car. I was so sad.
