Halloween 2022

Sadie has gotten into the Hunger Games this year so her costume was pretty easy to decide on.  Kylee was happy to participate because Katniss' costume is so cool and she looks just like her.  Dylan refused to dress up at all, even just for me.  Kaden thought this costume was cool so we just ordered it and that was easy.  Sadie's costume was a little elaborate, if you can't tell.  We ordered the wig and pink eyelashes from Amazon.  We ordered clothes from Shein, but the sleeves weren't big enough so I went and bought tulle to fluff them up even more.  We also got flowers from Hobby Lobby, and ordered a gold scarf.  Plus white makeup and pink lipstick.  Yeah, hers was definitely the hardest.  Kylee's outfit was ordered on Amazon but the legging didn't really work so we cut them up and she wore her own leggings and pulled the pads over.  I made the bow using some edging stuff from Home Depot and Kylee painted it black.  Then she painted the mockingjay pin gold.  Kaden's costume was a little complicated to get on.  And the one thing I feared was him falling over while trying to get his legs in and tearing the zipper, which is exactly what happened! Without a zipper, it won't inflate.  Luckily I was able to get the zipper back together and pin it. I had to do that like three more times, but it worked.

Sadie's friend was also Katniss so they went together well.

This is the first year that I haven't gone out to trick-or-treat with them at all.  Kaden was with Porter and Luke and I think maybe Brynlee and Cambry went with them for awhile.  Kaden burned out pretty quick and wanted to be done.  He came back home to just binge.  His friends kind of wanted to keep going but then they decided to come hang out for awhile. Eventually Kaden pulled out the carrots and said he was just really craving some carrots cause he had eaten too much sugar.
Sadie and her friends stopped at our house to rest and look through their candy.  Then they invited the boys they are friends with so they all came over and traded candy and hung out.  It was so late for a Monday, lol.  I wish Halloween was just always on a Friday.
