Dylan's 9th Birthday

We were able to celebrate Dylan's birthday with family.  He really wanted to play laser tag again.  We had a lot of fun last year.  So we spent Friday evening playing at Blast Off and having cake.

 Dylan chose an orange cake this year.  Something different.

His actual birthday was on Saturday so we got to spend the whole day doing fun stuff.  We thought about hiking but decided to try floating the river.  It turned out to be kayaks, and we waited around for a really long time before we got going, but it was really fun!  He opened presents first, though.  He asked for money this year so he can invest it in the stock market and become a millionaire.  But he got a few things.  I tripod for his phone to make youtube videos.  Gum and perler beads, and a telescope and microscope.

There were swarms of mosquitoes that made it not so fun.  And Kaden got really tired and cranky and just decided he wanted to be done so he cried and cried while I rowed as fast as I could to get us like two more miles to where the car was.  Not so fun.  But it was really beautiful and enjoyable up to that point!

Glad we get to celebrate this cute kid.  He's fun, creative, smart, and a little frustrating too.  We love him tons!
