Our neighborhood show was on the 3rd, and we had a lot of fun watching the show put on by all the grown men having too much fun playing with fire. I feel like being right under these is better than going to the big Melaleuca show and sitting so far away they look small. I was also pretty happy with what I captured from my phone :)
On the 4th, we did our annual games with Grandma and Grandpa. The kids love digging in the sand. Most of the other games we change up every year. It's always fun, though.
We had a barbecue with everyone after games. Later that night we opted to avoid the crowds and just light fireworks in my backyard and also cook s'mores. I thought it was perfect. The older kids lit all the fireworks and we just sat back and watched and took a few pictures. Also, we tried to make sure they didn't light anything on fire. Other than the fireworks :)
