Kauai Helicopter Tour

Last time we did a boat tour and it was beautiful.  We heard a lot of people say the helicopter was their favorite part of their trip so we decided we should do that this time.  I booked it for our first full day, just in case they had to reschedule due to weather.  It was windy the whole time we were there and we were a bit worried but our flight was in the morning and it wasn't too bad.  I took a dramamine "less drowsy" before we left just because I wanted to enjoy it and people we talked to said they got sick.  I hadn't gotten sick on the boat ride in Maui or the Road to Hana, but I didn't want to press my luck.  It worked, or I just wouldn't have been sick.  But either way, I was able to enjoy it!

Ryan and I were a bit jealous of the two people that got to sit in the front.  Their view was much better, mostly for pictures.  They say they choose the seats depending on weight so they can balance the helicopter.  But I would pay more just to have those front windows.  I got decent pictures out the little side window, but I couldn't get everything.  I heard a few times that you should wear dark clothes and I didn't really understand why.  It occurred to me later that the bright colors cause more of a glare on the window.  I had a dark jacket over my shirt so I didn't notice if my red caused any problems.  I had plenty of pics that weren't good because of glares, but I don't think it was from me.

The views!  It was so awesome!!  I tried to limit the pictures I was posting but there were just so many.  I loved the waterfalls of course.  But the mountains are so awesome too.

I can imagine what this mountain must look like after it rains.  Waterfalls just rushing down the whole mountain.

There was this waterfall in the middle of an otherwise flat and green area so I snapped this picture.  I'm pretty sure this is one that we drove to later in the trip.  The Wailua one.
