The time difference from Idaho to Kauai is 4 hours after Daylight Savings (because Hawaii doesn't do Daylight Savings). This meant that we flew into Hawaii really late but it didn't feel that late to us. Unfortunately we had to get up on Hawaii time to go to our helicopter ride right away. It wasn't too bad though.
We asked the kids who wanted to do the helicopter because it was expensive and we didn't want anyone being "forced" to go if they weren't excited about it. Kylee was the only one who said she didn't care much about it and so she would just hang back. I don't understand her sometimes but that's okay. So she stayed at the resort (and apparently didn't even leave the room to explore because she didn't know where to go, etc.)
The rest of us went and had a really awesome ride! I didn't take any motion sickness medication this time and I did well until the very end, about an hour into it. Then I was ready to be done. But it is just so cool to see all the waterfalls and mountains and the Napali Coast from the air. The kids all loved it.
