October

Kaden played football in the Fall too.  They played in a more competitive division and didn't win all that much but that's okay.

Ryan and Kaden and I got box tickets for a USU game.  It was fun!  We drove down with Jason and Dan but they had their own seats in another section.

When the three kids are cuddling together on the couch, I get a picture.

After one of the district games, we were all heading to the parking lot when we heard a loud crash.  A large truck had hit a kid in an older car.  It was pretty bad.  There were a few people checking on them and plenty of people calling 911 so I decided to go offer what I could.  I spent my time with the teenage driver.  Someone had helped the passenger out of the car.  I never checked on the truck driver but I heard they were okay.  It was a lot of excitement.  And it happened at the exit so nobody could leave until the ambulance came so I just stayed there and tried to help.  Luckily he stayed conscious and breathing ok.  Scary though!

The Eras Tour movie was released! And Kylee and Sadie and I drove down to Pocatello to watch it in the AMC theater because they had the best merch... My daughter is a little ridiculous sometimes.  But we had SO MUCH FUN!  We got there plenty early so we could get decent seats.  People were all decked out and trading friendship bracelets and singing so loud.  LOVED IT!

October weather was pretty great.  We hiked by Fall Creek and drove over to see the view for a minute too.

Sadie was not sold on the idea of trying out for basketball at Sandcreek.  I really wanted her to.  I knew her friend Oakley was on the fence too so I tried to get them to encourage each other.  Sadie was feeling like she was the worst player on her regular team and I think just worried she would embarrass herself at tryouts.  Between me and her regular coach and team, we convinced her she is much better than most the girls going to tryouts.  Sadie and Oakley decided to make a deal with us that they would tryout if we let them have a sleepover.  She ended up doing great and feeling confident.  And she enjoyed playing with the school.  Unfortunately bball overlapped with dance twice a week and it was kind of a nightmare trying to make it all work.  Also, soccer wasn't quite over when bball started.  And dance was ongoing and they were performing at half time shows and such.  It was a lot but we made it work!  We also spent a lot of time trying to find ways to help her feet.  We taped them with KT tape.  I put inserts in her bball shoes.  She took plenty of ibuprofen.  And her feet were doing better once soccer was over.  But then her knee started hurting.  And it never got better.  By the end of the season she was limping and couldn't really run.  More on that later.
Bball game one day, dance at the Hillcrest football halftime show the next day!
