Kaden at 7 Months

We got one decent picture of him this morning.  He wasn’t in the right mood.  It’s a little tricky to find a time to take pictures when he’s fed and rested and the sun isn’t super high in the sky…

I haven’t been getting my camera out as much as I should.  It just feels like I’m always carrying Kaden so it’s hard to carry a large camera as well.  I will try harder.

I do have some phone pictures though :)  He was so cute at church a few weeks ago playing on the floor that I snapped a picture.  He’s making a lot more noises with his tongue, clicking and smacking.  And he sticks it out sometimes.  So cute.  He is happy to play and roll around, or now he sits for quite awhile but will fall down still.  He does best when I’m close.  Like if I’m folding laundry on the floor by him.  Or he will play on the floor next to me while I’m working on the computer for awhile sometimes.  Usually he’s pretty easy.

He finally started sitting in the grocery carts at the store without just tipping over.  He’s so darn cute!

I’ve never had a jumper for any of my kids.  I guess I just figured we had enough toys.  But I had been wanting one for him, and had decided I didn’t need to spend the money on it for my last kid.  But then I saw one at Fred Meyer on Clearance so I just grabbed it.  It’s not a great one.  Once I read the reviews on it, I realized why it was on clearance (and also looked like it had been returned).  But oh well.  He thinks it’s pretty fun.

Kaden likes the cat.  And for some reason Jax just sits there and lets him abuse him.  Kaden tugs on his ear and pats him in the face.  Jax just lays almost on top of Kaden and puts up with it.  Ryan kept getting worried that the cat would scratch him (he has scratched the other kids legs occasionally for some random reason, while they are walking out of the garage door by his house).  I figured he would hop up and run away once Kaden pulled on him a few times.  But no, he just sits there and lets him.  He actually likes the baby.  If Kaden cries, Jax comes over to see what’s going on.  He nuzzles him sometimes.  It’s very sweet.

 He sure is slobbery!

I figure it’s time for Kaden to stop waking twice in the night.  So my goal is to make sure he gets a lot of food during the day.  Still nursing every few hours, but also trying to get solids in him almost every time we sit down to a meal.  If that doesn’t help him to sleep through on his own, I will have to let him fuss :(  I hate it, but he needs to learn at some point.  I guess we’ll see how that goes.
