Oregon, the room, the view, the food

We did love the resort.  There were two beds and a bathroom in the loft.  And a murphy bed and couch in the living room downstairs.

You would be surprised how much arguing went on about sleeping arrangements.  Kylee and Dylan did not want to share the bed.  Kylee didn't want to share a bed with Sadie either.  We tried to have Kylee share her blanket with Sadie so she could sleep on the floor at the first hotel, and Kylee put up a big fight.  She didn't want to sleep on the floor.  She didn't want Sadie to use her blanket.  Her excuse was that Sadie would get her "body oils" all over it.  We all had a good laugh at that (and how ridiculous she was being) and it became quite the joke for Sadie and Kaden to climb on Kylee's bed to spread their body oils on her sheets.

This was the view from our patio.  Heart-eye emojis all the way.
This was the view from of the beach at our resort, not our room but if we walked down to the beach access.

The kids loved the pool!

We got out and tried the tennis courts one day.  The jungle and the misty fog was so cool.
There was this forest trail that led to the other beaches that we walked (and ran) many times.  I loved it!  I mentioned this when I talked about family pictures.
Kylee came out for a run with me a couple times.  Ryan came with us one of the times too.  There was so much hazy fog in the mornings, especially the first morning we ran.  We hadn't ever been on that beach before and we could barely see 50 yards in any direction.  It was bizarre.

Kylee loved the colors in the sand.
We were drenched!!  It was a pleasant temperature, but there were water droplets just hanging in the air.  I never got thirsty while running.  And actually I drank a significantly less amount of water during this whole trip.

The tide washes up all these crab pieces and these seagulls just feast on them.
I always worried about these poor starfish!  I guess they don't die when it's not hot out?
There was greenery everywhere, but our resort had some really awesome flowers.
 These blue blossoms were huge.

Blackberries!  Some of them were ripe.
I don't know what this police box is all about, but we walked past it a few times so they decided to get a picture.

Let's talk about food for a bit.  I don't think I ordered anything other than fish.  Clam chowder was offered everywhere.  And the fish was good!

My friend recommended a restaurant called Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay.  Ryan and I left the kids behind and went out.  It was YUM!!  And the view was amazing.  I highly recommend that and hope to go back some day.

I always prefer to try the local offerings as opposed to the boring chain fast food restaurants.  This little beach cafe in Lincoln Beach didn't disappoint.

I already posted about family pictures, but here are some that we took from our phones that night.

The small town we stayed at on the way back had a room with three queen beds!  We have never had that before.
I think that was all the random pictures, and now I can get back to the fun stuff we did the rest of the trip.
