We've heard a lot about Silverwood. It seems like Lagoon, which we love, and we thought it would be nice to try some new rides. It was very similar, just smaller. But the water park area was bigger. It was 95 degrees again which made it hard to be out standing in lines. Also we were all getting a bit worn out by this time in the trip so we had less patience. I took the three older kids to one of the bigger, scarier rides right away because the lines weren't too long yet.
It was a cool ride, but my stomach immediately told me it wasn't going to cooperate too well. Dylan said the same thing. Sadie was very brave and willing to try the craziest ride that Kylee wanted to do at the end of the day when nobody else was willing. But in the meantime, Sadie and Kaden did some smaller rides while I melted in the heat.
Then we went to the water park, that was very crowded. The wave pool was everyone's favorite, but I was not feeling it. My stomach wasn't great and my foot and ankle had started killing me. We waited in line for a "family" ride for a long time. Dylan and I got in line first and everyone else came a little later so they were behind us aways in line. The line took a long time and we agreed the slide was not worth the wait. At that point I was annoyed with the lines and the kids just hung out in the wave pool. The most fun was probably the racing slide. There were six lanes and it timed us and told us who was fastest. It was really fun, but again most the kids only wanted to do it once. Kaden had no hesitancy on these fast slides, even though there was a kid ahead of us in line much older than him that chickened out.
Once we got bored of that Ryan and Sadie wanted to do more rides but Dylan and Kaden were not up for it. While the girls rode this spinny upside down ride, we decided to go get some ice cream while we were waiting for them. They were called Giant Scoop, and that name was fitting. It was a ridiculous amount of ice cream, and we got the small size!
Though Ryan was a little disappointed that the other kids were not tough enough to stand in more lines, Sadie was still having fun and wanting to do more stuff as we were getting ready to leave so she rode the carousel with Kaden. Fun-loving to the end.
