Sadie moved up to 11v11 and started practicing with her team over the summer. They entered this tournament in the Layton/Farmington area before they even had any real season games. There is a lot of talent on this team. But they didn't do all that well at the tournament. We had to play Renegades, who brought a bunch of guest players that took over so that was dumb. But they played hard and we had fun. It started off a little too hot in my opinion though!
After the first game, we headed to Trader Joes. It's tradition. Anytime we are anywhere new Salt Lake or Boise (or Seattle, or Mesa...) we head to TJs. Sadie and I had a freezer in our hotel room so we decided to get some ice cream! Not the best idea because it was way too much for the two of us to eat in two days.
They gave us room 112, which my 90's R&B heart just loved.
We were just down the road from my waterfall hike and Sadie's next game was later in the day so I headed out for a quick hike early in the morning. I love it!
We had some time to kill in between games and Sadie needed a few school clothes so we went shopping. She is almost 12 and shopping small or extra small juniors.
I wanted to stop at the Nike Factory Store and a couple other places. Sadie as worn out, I don't blame her. But we found a sweets shop and she suddenly perked up. It was a pretty crazy store!
It was fun getting to spend some time with Sadie for soccer for once. It's always Kylee playing in tournaments. I know Sadie is going to have many more tournaments in her future.
