Canyoning in Monteverde

I booked this canyoning adventure and I was really excited about it.  They said they could pick us up at our hotel so we sat around waiting for them.  He shows up in this super old van with a dog and a little girl in with him.  It made us question the professionalism.  He was super nice though.  He took us to their business and it looked (like a lot of things we had seen) a bit rundown and small.  Considering we were trusting these people to lower us down waterfalls by ropes... I was nervous.  But inside the business was very nice looking and well kept.  His sons came and helped us get set up with gear and they were very friendly and energetic.  It didn't seem like we were near any trails with trees or waterfalls.  But we just had to walk a little ways down a trail.  Their dog came with us and my impression went from a questionable establishment to a friendly little family business.  They took pictures for us since there was really no way to take a phone and it took them a week but they sent us the pictures.  We paid $20 for them.  It was fun.  These waterfalls are definitely more dark and hidden than what I usually picture and most of them were short, but that was good for me because canyoneering down a waterfall is harder than I thought it would be. I slammed into the wall at least once, my feet slipped a lot, the water pounded onto you.  It was not super warm but the adrenaline kept you warm.  There were 6 waterfalls total with only one really tall one.

They had lockers for us to keep our jackets and dry clothes in.  This cat cracked me up hiding in it.
